Why is Biobased ValueCircle an interesting project for you?
The Biobased ValueCircle Project and especially my part, the upscaling of home-compostable Biopolymers for Food-packaging, is a pressing topic in the world right now. With more and more people living in the world, garbage production just in the field of Food-packaging rises daily. It is a breaking edge research topic that has a direct impact on a global scale. I always wanted to be a part of that. The practical work and the engineering part is a big Bonus!
Tell something about yourself which other Biobased ValueCircle people might not know yet?
Before my studies, I did an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic.
How did you become a researcher / scientist?
I, more or less, stumbled into it. After my apprenticeship, I started a Bachelor’s study in technical textiles, and I was hooked. The Master came after the Bachelor, and now I am here.
What do you like most in your current work?
Being at the forefront of research in the field of Biobasedpolymers.
